Hostile Environment Awareness

This training is a must for either military or civilian personnel who plan to work in a hostile environment overseas. The training provides the client with the crucial survival, force protection and combat skills necessary to perform their duties in a hostile environment. You will learn to identify the threat, avoid the threat and engage and defeat the threat if required. As with all our training courses, we work very closely with the client to provide a training program or courses that meet the client's specific requirements from the very basic to the most advanced skill levels.

Key Topics Include:

Personal Equipment Familiarization. Standard issue deployment gear to include proper donning and wearing, operation, maintenance and upkeep.

Pistol and Rifle Familiarization.

Communications.

Individual and Camp Force Protection Functions and Procedures. Prepares students to perform individual, unit and team level Force Protection and security duties per client's standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Night Vision Goggles. Includes set up, proper mounting and operational use during night range and convoy operations.

Detainee Handling. Provides aspects of detainee handling, movement, marshalling and turn-over procedures.

Driver Training and HMMWV Familiarization. Covers basic driving skills, evasive and defensive driving, to include individual responsibilities, vehicle specifications, inspection and preparation, systems, nomenclature, driving characteristics, controls, tire changes, emergency procedures and planning considerations.

Combat First Aid. Procedures and effective life saving techniques.

Crew-Served Heavy Weapons. Familiarization training in the use and effective employment of the M2HB.50 Cal. MG, the M240-B MG, and other crew-served heavy weapons.

Navigation Training. Training in map reading skills, navigation tools (GPS), navigation techniques and planning considerations for both rural and urban environments.

Convoy Operations. Overview, threats, characteristics, convoy mission planning, vehicle selection, duties & responsibilities, command and control, vehicle preparation, mounted formations, and actions upon enemy contact.
