HSEEP Mobile Training Course

Students will receive instruction and certification from DHS certified Train-the-Trainers on curriculum which demonstrates how to design, conduct and evaluate exercises as well as incorporate lessons learned and recommendations for the After Action Report and Improvement Plan. Participants can also receive Train-the-Trainer certification to equip them to instruct other staff members within their agency. The Mobile Training Course is a 3 day course and the Train-the-Trainer Course is a 3 ½ day course.

The purpose of HSEEP is to provide common exercise policy and program guidance that constitutes a national standard for homeland security exercises. HSEEP includes consistent terminology that can be used by all exercise planners, regardless of the nature and composition of their sponsoring agency or organization and provides tools to help exercise managers plan, conduct, and evaluate exercises to improve overall preparedness. HSEEP reflects lessons learned and best practices of existing exercise programs and can be adapted to a variety of scenarios and incidents (e.g., natural disasters, terrorism, and technological disasters).
