On-Site Meals (at the lowest national per diem rates) are available at multiple sites on the O'Gara facility. Since meals on-site are specifically catered by VIR's professional chef (a graduate of the International Culinary Institute), meals can be planned and menus provided that meet the specific requirements of this RFQ as well as the preferences of our students.

The catering and dining facilities, located throughout the VIR property, have a demonstrated capability to support literally thousands of guests per day during professional motor sports events.

  1. Routinely, a lunch buffet and salad bar are provided daily for students. Breakfast and dinner may also be catered upon request.

  2. The Oak Tree Tavern, VIR's full scale restaurant, is open for the dinner meal weekly, Wednesday through Saturday.

  3. The advantage of two full-sized commercial kitchens permits us to provide catered meals in designated classrooms, break-out rooms, and facilities throughout the property. In addition, box lunches can be easily prepared and delivered to sites whenever needed.

The Following On-site Locations Are Designated Dining Facilities.

  1. The Pagoda Banquet Hall is 3240 sq ft and may be divided into two separate dining rooms 1620 sq ft each. The Banquet Hall is serviced by a complete commercial kitchen located downstairs. Meals in the Banquet Hall may be customized to meet the specific ethnic, regional or unique dietary needs of the students.

  2. The Pagoda Grill, also serviced by the same commercial kitchen, provides an ala carte menu of traditional American cuisine, i.e. sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, as well as retail food items like soft drinks, chips, candy and ice cream. The Pagoda Grill provides a 2255 sq ft covered patio as a dining area.

  3. The Charlie Gibson Pavilion is a 5368 sq ft open air structure that routinely accommodates large groups (seating over 200 guests simultaneously).

  4. The Oak Tree Tavern operates as a public restaurant on limited hours and day (as indicated above). The Tavern's commercial kitchen is also used to cater meals externally on the VIR facility.
