SNS and POD Assessment Tool
Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) and Point of Dispensing (POD)
This assessment tool provides an overall evaluation of the capability to transport and distribute SNS resources via POD locations to effectively provide mass prophylaxis or inoculation during a national crisis involving a pandemic event or terrorist attack. It is based on current guidelines from the CDC Point of Dispensing (POD) Standards, Division of Strategic National Stockpile Technical Assistance Review (TAR) tool, CDC Receiving, Distributing, and Dispensing Strategic National Stockpile Assets: A Guide for Preparedness, industry best practices and widely used vulnerability assessment methodologies.
